Welcome! I’m Matthew Tucker, a 19-year-old education major at Florida State University. I write about things such as politics, philosophy, and current events.

Why I started “For What It’s Worth”
I started this blog as a personal outlet for my thoughts and opinions. It is a way for me to voice them to a larger group of people as well. It is my way of letting curious, like-minded people learn more about me and the topics in which I write. The name “For What It’s Worth” is reflective of the fact that I understand I am only one voice, a voice of someone who is still learning about the world around me. Not everyone cares about what a 19-year-old has to say, nor might they care much about politics or anything else that is talked about in this blog. These are topics that interest me, but also that I feel are important to be educated in. I speak with words that I feel need to be said and that add substance to important conversations. My writings are fact-based and analyzed by me, and I take pride in the fact that I can produce honest and factual writings. This blog is just as much for me as it is for anyone else, but I do hope you learn something from my writings!
